Investigating the disappearance of an eminent scientist, the Doctor and his companions follow his trail to the London Headquarters of International Electromatics, a golbal supplier of electronic equipment run by the formidable Tobias Vaughan. Teaming up with the nwly formed United Nations Intelligence Taskforce - UNIT - under the command of Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, it soon becomes apparent that Vaughan is working to his own sinister agenda. As Cybermen invade cities all over the world, can the Doctor convince Vaughan to help him defeat their plan for global domination?

The Doctor is behaving very oddly. After signing a treaty with enemy aliens, he returns to his home planet, Gallifrey, and demands the Presidency of the High Council of Time Lords. His first act of rule is to banish Leela to the wastelands on pain of death. His second is to sabotage the planet's defence barriers, enabling full scale invasion.

The Invisible Enemy: While answering a mayday from a refuelling station on Saturn's largest moon, the TARDIS passes through a mysterious cloud. Alarmed Leela senses a malevolent presence. The danger turns out to be an intelligent space virus, and the Doctor is soon infected and fighting for control of his mind.

The King's Demons: England, March 1215. King John is visiting the castle of Sir Ranulph Fitzwilliam. The arrival of the TARDIS disturbs a medieval joust, but the Doctor and his companions are proclaimed to be friendly demons by the King, who seems strangely interested in their 'blue engine'.

Ribos Operation: The Doctor is summoned by the mysterious and powerful White Guardian, and sent on a quest to find the six segments of the Key to Time, which once assembled, will restore balance to the Universe. Joining the Doctor and K9 is the smart and sassy Romana, a Time Lord fresh from the Academy.

On a remote island of glass surrounded by a sea of acid there is a machine that can remove evil from the minds of an entire population - the Conscience of Marinus. Fearful of its immense power falling into the wrong hands, its sole guardian has scattered the machine's operating keys across the planet.

When the TARDIS arrives on the planet of the Gonds, the Doctor, Jamie and Zoe discover a world ruled and nslaved by the Krotons. The brighest Gonds are always chosen to serve as companions of the Krotons and are never seen again. The Doctor and his friends decide to put a stop to their rule - but in doing so, inadvertently unleash the true power and terror of the Krotons instead...

The Doctor and Romana decide to forego Brighton Beach and take a much-needed holiday on the pleasure planet of Argolis. Ravaged decades ago by an interstellar war between the Argolin and the Foamasi, Argolis now hosts the Leisure Hive - an ideal retreat for tourists from all over the cosmos. But a series of 'accidents' leads the Doctor and Romana to discover that the Hive holds dark secrets...
